Founded in 2019 after the musicians of the Boise Philharmonic grassroots organizing effort, Local 423 is the newest Local in the American Federation of Musicians. The movement was born out of the need to come together to represent ourselves in our community and have a stronger voice in our work. Local 423 members include not just Boise Phil musicians, but also musicians of all genres.
